Desde estos videos podréis ver los juegos completos, una duración total de más de ¡2 horas cada uno! Para veteranos como yo seguro que les entra nostalgia de tantos recuerdos. "Qué apropiado, tu peleas como una vaca".

I pirate i was meant to be...

Hace unos días puse varios videos del World of Warcraft, entre ellos uno con una canción pirata titulada "I pirate i was meant to be". Pues bien, por petición popular, dicha canción es original del Monkey Island 3, y aquí os dejo el divertido fragmento y la letra.

Haggis: We're a band of vicious pirates!
Edward: A sailin´ out to sea.
Bill: When you hear our gentle singing...
Haggis: You'll be sure to turn and flee!

Guybrush: Oh, this is just ridiculous.

Guybrush: Come on, men! We've got to recover that map!
Bill: That pirate will be done for, when he falls into our trap!

My Top Ten Game Sagas Volumen 3: Monkey Island

"¡Mira, detrás de ti! ¡Un mono de tres cabezas!"

Son tantos los diálogos y los momentos memorables de esta saga que llenaría páginas en el blog. Para quién no lo conozca aún (ya está tardando en jugar), Monkey Island es una mítica aventura gráfica para PC desarrollada por Lucas Arts e ideada por Ron Gilbert en 1990, que narra las aventuras (desventuras la mayoría de veces), de un joven llamado Guybrush Threepwood cuya mayor ilusión es llegar a ser un gran pirata. En su viaje para ello deberá pasar pruebas de piratería, buscar una tripulación, un barco y rescatar a su querida gobernadora Marley de las garras (barbas diría yo) del pirata zombie Le Chuck, villano legendario donde los haya.

Sus secuelas, a excepción del IV, lograron mantener el espíritu de la saga y añadir más argumento y divertidos momentos. La tercera entrega incluía además diálogos, el doblaje al castellano fue realmente bueno.

Resulta curioso además ver el paralelismo entre esta saga y la trilogía cinematográfica de Piratas del Caribe. Y como parodias de la saga, nada como ver la de la Isla de lo Mono, con Alejo y Valentina. http://www.locoarts.com.ar/NG14.htm

Grog Games se halla desarrollando un juego no oficial basado en el motor de Monkey Island, y se trata además de una precuela de la historia. El primer video ya promete XD
